This model is mainly applied to thin-edged cabinets with minimalist design, invisible doors, unequal double doors, open cabinets, German T-shaped doors, and other furniture requiring PUR edge banding.
The machine body is welded with Q235 steel plate and all four sides of the its inner are equipped with 100x100 square tubes to reinforce the performance of the model. The square tubes which are made of hot zinc material, also serve as an air storage tank to provide sustainable air flow. As the model is specially designed for invisible doors which require the edge banding to be L-shaped and thick enough, every part of the machine has to be installed vertically and horizontally. The machine body and guide rail surface are plane-processed with Plano-milling machine. The machine body has been annealed to avoid deformation through operation, to improve performance and to extend its service life.
Pressing beam unit
As the door is large and thick, it’s of great importance to keep every board pressed firmly during the operation process. So this model is equipped with a steel-made pressing beam structure which has been welded, annealed and fine-processed. the structure is strong enough to make sure that every board can be pressed firmly during transportation to separate unit to be processed. The steel-supported crawler-type structure gets in touch with the board to make sure its surface won’t get friction which is common with traditional roller method.
The structure design for the feeding part is very important for an edge banding machine which needs to process thick and heavy boards on a regular basis. It decides whether the board can move in straight direction or not. Be it automatic or manual, there is impact force on the feeding plate when the heavy board is fed on. The force may in the long run may get the board derailed. To solve this problem, the feeding structure is equipped with base made of cast iron which prevents the deformation of the feeding plate and provides stability.
Servo-controlled pre-milling unit
There are two sets of milling units. With four diamond knives, the unit gets the shaped face milled. Each set adopts forward and backward knife jumping method to make sure the front and rear edges are smooth. Besides, the unit is also equipped with synchronous lifting mechanism with servo control to adjust the step height of the invisible door, namely the ratio of A and C in the left picture.
PUR gluing unit (with servo control)
The gluing device is designed according to the technical requirements. With servo motor, the glue amount can be adjusted automatically through entering specific number on the operation interface. When a board is processed, the servo motor will turn the rubber brake to the set position of the glue amount, preventing sundries from entering the glue unit. As the thick door requires for a large amount of glue, the device is designed to store 300g glue to ensure sufficient supply of PUR glue. When the PUR glue is not used for a while, it needs to be cleaned to protect the device from damage caused by glue solidification. In this regard, we have designed one-key glue discharge function. The belt feeding platform can move, through the function key, to the right to leave space for glue discharge container, and then the cleaning job can be done through pressing the discharge button.
Combined pressing unit with servo control
led board and glued edge band meet under the main pressing wheel. First, the bonding takes place in the position of A. When the heating lamp softens the edge band, the pre-pressing guide plate will quickly move to shape the straight edge from A to B, and the edge from B to C. Later, the board will be moved through heat lamp to get heated again. Then the straight edge from B to C will be get shaped through the floating platen. Finally, among the three independent pressing wheels, two will get the position of C pressed in a straight manner, and the other one is a tapered pressing wheel which allows the C end to be pressed against the board surface within a small area to reduce the visibility of the glue line. This unit is also installed with a servo-motor structure to allow synchronous changes of milling and pressing between A and C within the range of 8-40mm.
This unit is mainly to get the extra edge band trimmed.
Rough and fine trimming unit
During the heating process, the soft forming edge band may widen. So the rough trimming unit is necessary, even the edge band is thin, to get most extra band trimmed to make sure that the phenomenon of knife jumping won’t appear in the later fine-trimming process.
The polishing will be done on the board sprayed with separating agent and cleaning agent.
